On the ground: bringing Florida Keys events to the world

OMG’s August 2025 report to Visit Florida Keys documents live social media coverage of Key West Rum Fest, BrewFest, Just a Few Friends and Key West Lobster Best.

The coverage brought together food, music, community celebrations and the businesses behind them. The report includes a cooking demonstration by Paul Menta and the second-line parade honoring Jimmy Buffett.

For our team, destination storytelling starts with being there. These events offer different views of the Keys, and social coverage gives people beyond the islands a way to experience them.

This archive item is dated to the end of the August 2025 reporting month, not the publication date of the combined August and September report. The report groups these events together, including celebrations around Labor Day weekend. Its event coverage section begins on page 3.
