The problem.
People searching for dinner in Key West may not know where Stock Island sits or what makes the trip worthwhile. Roostica's website needed to connect that location with a clear reason to visit, answer the everyday questions (menu, gluten-free, hours, takeout, groups) and then win the searches that bring new diners, not just the ones who already know the name.
The client.
Roostica brings wood-fired pizza and rustic Italian cooking to Stock Island, just outside downtown Key West. OMG's website presents the restaurant as a place worth seeking out, and our search program puts it in front of people looking for pizza who have not found it yet.
The idea.
People already search for Roostica by name. The opening is everyone typing "pizza key west".
What we did.
We built the website around the wood-fired cooking that defines Roostica, with the Stock Island story, menus, nightly specials and calling and directions links that work. In September 2026 Roostica joined the OMG Monitor alongside Hogfish: Google Search Console, GA4, mobile page speed, a site audit and a weekly check of what Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini say about Key West pizza. Since then: a menu page built out to answer the searches people use to find pizza in Key West, a gluten-free page with the details diners actually look for, plain answers to common questions on the homepage, fixes where the wrong page was ranking for "best pizza in Key West", and lighter photos so the home and menu pages load faster on phones.
What happened.
In the four weeks to October 25, Roostica turned 11.9% of its Google appearances into clicks. It ranks first for its own name and for "pizza stock island", sits in the top three for "wood fired pizza key west", and is on page one for "pizza key west" and "best pizza in Key West", the searches we are chasing hardest. "Gluten free pizza key west" climbed from about #7 to #4. Website visits are up at least 8% on the same dates last year, after running 5% behind in the month before launch. In our weekly AI check, Roostica gets 75% of the mentions among the local restaurants we track. It is early: this is the first full month on the new site, and search results build over months.
The takeaway.
The name already wins. The job now is winning the people who just want pizza.
